Sometimes November is Nice

This weekend has been nice :) We had semi-nice weather here and had lots of fun :) Parks...
Painting pottery for xmas gifts (killian did a mug for my dad)

We had lunch... Killian learned to play games during lunch. Here he's thinking about a number
We went to a nature reserve. He LOVED that animals/reptiles/turtles

There was a fun educational activity about pelicans and eagles. He's holding the pelican wing:

And a pelican foot.

We walked around the nature reserve. They made a cute natural playground... here he's playing "fox den"

We played outside with his friend... it was a little chilly on Sunday (36 degrees), so we got our first glimpse into winter weather

We both can't wait for  Thanksgiving! Killian says he's thankful for sock puppets :)

First week in Nov.... It's so close to thanksgiving!

Phew! We're two weeks into November and looking forward to Thanksgiving :) The first week of November I ended my placement in 5th grade... and had conferences. Killian was NOT happy when I was gone for over 12 hours. He wouldn't sleep that night because he wanted to spend time with me.. which led to 2 more exhausting days. BUT, now I'm in middle school and we're both adjusting. The only bad part is having to get there 10 min. earlier. Which wouldn't seem like a big deal, but it's hard when you have to leave the house by 640 and you're still running into daycare.

So.. what else have we been up to?

We've been drawing/coloring turkeys, doing wiggles and giggles, playing at Gammie's house, gardening (I bought at 2nd plot and we were trying to get it ready for summer... except that it snowed before I finished), playing  TONS and TONS of pretend play, getting the house ready for winter, going to story time, cleaning out some old toys (to get ready for new toys), and just snuggling. He's also earned his ant house through his responsibility chart. He's waiting for the ants in the mail (hopefully they'll send the ants with it being so cold). Every day when we check the mail, he asks me "the ants here yet?" We're very much looking forward to the next 2 weeks, because I have off half a day next week and 2 days off Thanksgiving week :)

I found that Killian's age right now is soo much fun! He's hilarious; defiantly has his own sense of humor. And he's a very good little boy :)Here's a cute picture:

A week of Bean/Halloween

I had SOO much fun with bean during the last week of October :) I had Killian for a full week and we did tons and tons! We had Wiggles and Giggles, Monkey Joes, Library time, and swimming. :) Then.. we had Halloween!!!
Killian was kind of whiny at first, but then once he found out that he was getting candy, he was MUCH happier :) Then he got this skeleton and he was the happiest 3 year old you've even seen :)

So what have we been up to this past week? Killian's been SOOOO into "pretend play". Especially pretending to be his teacher Ms. Karen. He's learned to count to 40 and probably higher. He's starting to read a little and knows the sounds of the letters. He's been a big help in Wiggles and Giggles, and really loves having "friends" in classes. He's very much looking forward to going to San Fransico in the spring to see my sister, and is talking about moving to a "big house", because I've been looking into houses!
