Gardening and Foraging

I finally have some pictures of the garden!! :)

 Here I highlighted the 10 different sections of the garden.... I have pictures of each section with the plants labeled.

 This is the second half of Section one... one side is tomatoes, the other side cucumbers

In addition to my garden... I discovered a wonderful little thing... free WILD carrots :) Haha actually it's queen anne's lace. But the roots are carrots. I'm pretty sure a few people walking past me, watching me pull out weeds from the side of the road, thought I was a little crazy. I can't wait for them to get a little bigger :)

It was a BUSY week here

We've had a very busy week here! We started with Saturday... his party. Then Sunday was father's day. My dad hung up Killian's swing and he had lots of fun:

 

We also put together his hop scotch set he got for his bday: 

Monday he had his first swim lesson:

He really enjoyed it and loves his teacher. He was slightly distracted by the slide and sandbox.. but otherwise did ok. :)He also had his 3 year pictures taken (Look for the next post.. I'll post my favorites :))
Tuesday was his bday!!! He got to open my gifts:

He also got to pick where we went in the morning.. He chose Building for Kids. And he got to climb up to the treehouse (which always scared me before)

Wednesday we went to a Day out with Thomas... He was much more into it this year. Which is good since I had to pay for him and it was expensive:

Thursday we went to story time, he napped at gammies, and we relaxed at home. We played board games, which he's getting very good at :)
Friday was another Wiggles and Giggles day. We played with drums and bean bags.. Killian likes playing with the kids, but he's naughty because he knows I'm teaching and can't correct him right away. Sigh... he's definitely 3! We also went strawberry picking AGAIN and biked to the park in the afternoon.
I keep PRAYING for nice weather so we can go to the pool but it's been rainy and chilly all week! :(

Also, for his bday he got stickable mustaches... he tried one one before swim lessons:

It's been a crazy week!!! We picked 20 lbs of strawberries all in all.. I might need a few more lbs for another batch of Jam. We'll see :)

I did it again... more re-painted furniture

Another piece of furniture that FINALLY has been finished.
My mom bought me a bookcase 4 years ago that I've used for very various things from an entertainment center to it's current usage... holding some of Killian's toys. However, it was just a stained piece... nothing special. I wanted it to match his blue truck shelf... so I finally got to work repainting it two shades of blue and white on the inside (Have I said that I hate using white spray paint? you go through 2x the amount of white!!)

THEN, I was going to paint cars/roads on the sides. However, I had found these road and car wall stickers at target on clearance for 4.50 a few months ago. I was going to put them in his playroom, and then I thought. Why not put them on the shelf?? Well.. it turned out cute if I do say so myself :)

See the truck shelf in the background? Found that at St. Vinnie's thrift store for 8.00 :) I love thrift stores :)

We had a BDAY party!!!

 We had Killian's 3rd Bday party yesterday!! :) We had it at the lake house, and Killian ran straight into the snow blower handle when we got there. So this first picture is him crying from him head :( But after some ibuprofen, he felt better.

 See? ALL  better :)

 Killian wanted a Thomas theme party. So I ran around and found him a Thomas pinata.

 I also got him Thomas balloons and made him a thomas banner.

 And a thomas cake and cupcakes. (can you tell it's a number 3?)

 Bday presents!!

 SOOO excited to be 3 :)

 He had a train whistle that he blew to tell people it was time for presents :)

 He was VERY excited for his fishing rod from gpa.

 And a vacuum from Aunt Suzy and Uncle Ken. I wish it would actually pick up dirt!

 He had to hide his eye for Aunt Mary's gift... a soccer ball net.

His bday party was lots of fun! He fell asleep at 430 on our way home, and stayed up until 11!! Sassy!!!!
