Killian and I had a WONDERFUL weekend together. Saturday morning started off a little rough, because our favorite coffee/playroom shop was unexpectedly closed, but Killian feel asleep an hour and a half early for nap- so everything worked out ok. Saturday afternoon, we went to the zoo in Oshkosh. I have adorable pictures, but my Mac is finally being fixed, so I can't upload them just yet. Killian and I spent an hour walking around talking about all the animals. It's a relatively small zoo, but he still loved it. He especially loved the huge tortious that was walking around freely. (pictures to come). Killian took it upon himself to "feed it", by pulling up grass and almost getting his fingers eaten. Afterwards we went to the park. They have a huge wooden park/play system, and Killian had fun exploring for about a half hour. By this point I was pretty tired (did I mention that I didn't get to bed until 11 pm, and he got up at 530?), so we headed home for dinner and swimming at our pool. Killian spent an hour going between the pool and the hot tub, and flirting with another lady there. OH, and we bought 2 quarts of fresh strawberries, and we've eaten them all (in a day).
Today, we layed around in the morning, watching movies and eating a quart of strawberries. We then went to my dad's to let out the cats (he's on his 6th vacation of the year), and walmart to purchase Cars. Killian's never seen it, but he really liked Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (which was SO stupid), so I thought maybe he'd like Cars. NOPE. He is not a fan. It's funny too, because so many of his toys/furniture has Cars on it, but that's just because it's the only things available. Killian still hasn't pieced together all of these things and the movie, and that's alright with me. Thomas and Bob the Builder are good enough for us. (Did I mention that Cars has alot of nasty language? HELL is in there quite a few times, not to mention the conversations going on between the cars are not what I want to teach Killian).
Anyways, after only an hour nap, Bean and I went to the Neenah pool with my friend and her daughter. We had a blast, even though it was only 65 degrees. I'm def. taking Killian at least once a week during the summer. He loved the water slide and the sand. And he's free, so 3.50 is pretty cheap for 2 + hours of entertainment. Dinner was another quart of strawberries, and then it was off to bed. OH, and Killian said "bye bye" to all his nuks today :) (Ok, except the one he has for bed right now, but he was having a horrible time going to bed, and I gave in)... but it's a good start :)
